My Creation Myth

By: iFunny.co/Mythology

How the universe was created:

Before the creation of the universe, there was nothing but an empty void. Then out of this void came an explosion, and out that explosion was the birth of two gods who were named Rexon and Yuigrasen. These two gods from the moment of their birth were always fighting against each other. Yuigrasen thought that there should be more than the void that surrounded them while Rexon believed that there should never be anything more for it might be too dangerous. After eons of nothing but arguing and fighting Rexon finally came to agree with Yuigrasen that there should be more than the void. So they created the stars as well as some planets, however, none of the planets had any kind of life on them. Yuigrasen wanted to take it even further and create life to inhabit one of the planets, but once again Rexon disagreed again standing by his old argument that it would be too dangerous.

One day while these gods were fighting, Yuigrasen finally found out his weakness which turned out to be in the back of his neck. So when Rexon was asleep Yuigrasen snuck up behind him and struck a sword through his neck in his weakest point. This was the beginning of how the earth came to be. Rexon's body formed the earth that we walk on, his eyes became the sun and moon that encircle the earth, the blood that poured from his body are now the oceans and lakes across the earth from which we drink, his hair became the trees that cover the land, and his final breath became the wind and the sky.

After killing Rexon, Yuigrasen was filled with grief because even though they were always fighting Rexon was the only other living that had ever been around and without him Yuigrasen was lonely. He realized the only thing he could do was protect the earth that Rexon had formed in his death, so he resided to the stars to watch over the new earth.

As time went on, Yuigrasen was still feeling very alone being the only one around, so he decided that he wanted some company, and he went to visit earth. During his journey Yuigrasen came up with the idea to create a being in his image; so he found a large boulder and split it into four pieces, and from these four pieces he carved out two men and two women. These four people are the ancestors of all living people on earth. After seeing that his creation worked well Yuigrasen blessed them with the knowledge they would need to survive and thrive on their own and resided back to the stars to watch over earth once again.

My Pantheon

By: iFunny.co/Mythology

This is a growing list of all gods and goddesses in my mythology that started with the creation story before this. It will be updated over time as I grow the world.

Yuigrasen (pronounced E-gruh-sin) - Primordial god and creator of Earth and humans. He does not reside on Earth for the memories of his brother's death is too painful so he lives up among the stars, watching over the Earth and the humans inhabiting it. We do not know what he looks like for he has not shown himself to us since he first created man in the early days of Earth.

Rexon (pronounced Rex-un) - Primordial god and brother of Yuigrasen whose body was turned into the Earth.

Silvis - The first goddess created by Yuigrasen after the death of Rexon and the creation of man. She became the goddess of nature and forests. She made the forests a place of sanctuary and protection for animals (after they were created by Anteros) and humans alike. Silvis is described by our ancestors as a woman with green skin and wears a dress made of leaves, her eyes are dark green and her hair is said to be made of vines that are constantly growing and breaking off as she moves through the forests, keeping it alive.

Anteros (pronounced an-tare-os) - The god and creator of all the animals of the earth, he named them and gave them specific roles to play in nature, he was created shortly after Silvis. He is described as a man with deer horns on his head, his eyes are dark, closely resembling black quartz (which is a sacred stone often used during rituals and is said to be able to ward off evil spirits). His sacred animal is the wolf.

Hestius (pronounced hess-tea-us) - The goddess of the underworld and the dead who was also created by Yuigrasen. She gave birth to a son named Kalos (pronounced call-os) who was given the role of the god of death, he collects and assists the souls of those who died to the afterlife.

Hestiade (pronounced Hess-tea-aid) - The three Hestiade (named Lycanthris, Towen and Thoros) are the offspring of Hestius. They play the important role of judging souls and deciding their fate in the afterlife. Lycanthris is the one who brings the souls to judgment, Towen writes the results of the deeds and Thoros collects the Fire of Justice from the Ignis river. They take the heart of the soul and put it into a bowl with the Fire of Justice and then they ask the soul a series of question about the good and bad deeds they committed during their time on earth. Lycanthris asks about the positive deeds, Thoros asks about their negative deeds and Towen writes down the result of each one. For every deed that is negative, the Fire of Justice will burn the soul, if the deed is positive then the heart won't be burned. In the end, if the good deeds outweigh the bad then they can continue on to heaven for an eternity of bliss with their ancestors and loved ones. If their bad deeds outweigh the good then their soul will be burned into nothing and they will cease to exist. If their good deeds and bad deeds are equal then they can decide between the heaven and reincarnation.

Sol - the god of the sun and all the stars in the sky. He rides a chariot pulled by 12 flaming horses every day going from East to West. At night, he resides in his golden palace until the morning when he rides again. He is the ancestor of all the stars in the night sky and placed them all where they are by hand and gave them all special roles to play.

My Pantheon: Silvis

By: iFunny.co/Mythology

A few of you may remember that I made my own mythology and pantheon of gods a few months back. This is one of the five gods I have created so far. If you want to read more about it message me for the links to the other posts I have made about my pantheon/mythology.

Over time, Silvis realized that she shouldn't have to be the only one protecting the forests and the animals that live within it. She also knew that she could not always be there to care for and protect her creation. So she decided that she would create something that could. So Silvis created spirits that she liked to call Exsilvis (born of Silvis (she was very creative like that)). These Exsilvis were many in kind, there were different spirits for different kind of trees and they each took on a resemblance of the tree in which they protected. The Exsilvis were each assigned to their own tree to protect and grow with; they would stay with it from birth until death. Some Exsilvis could be reborn again to protect another tree while others could move on to the afterlife.

My mythology: Saleira

By: iFunny.co/Mythology

These creatures are not affected or bound by time and move throughout the past and future with ease. They're formless most of the time but if they wish they can take on any form that fits their needs. In their formless state, they appear as a black mass of smoke. It is believed that if you were to try and attack or harm one of the Saleira then they would kidnap you and abandon you in a different point in time forever. Saleira are the children of Hestius (goddess of the underworld) and live with her in the underworld.
